Electric mirror tripping fuse and can't find the short

Any ideas gents as to why my fuse keeps blowing? I've read somewhere that it may also be linked to my non functioning reversing light too?

It would be very helpful if you told us model and year of your car and which mirror?

If it is an outside (door) mirror then with or without memory and anti-dazzle please?

Oops sorry. 2003 996 TT manual. Nearside front and yes with the memory function. The offside is ok but the moment I try the nearside the fuse blows.

Which fuse B5 or D2?

BTW the only things on the circuit besides the mirrors (including the anti-dazzle interior mirror) is the rear window defogger. So if both rear backup lights do not work then it is likely the switch on the transmission.
