Does anyone know if the option code sticker on a 2005 997 Carrera should be located on the inside of the front hood like the 996? Two 997,s I looked at recently were missing the sticker.

Not uncommon on the newer cars - it's seems they don't always do that any more.

A copy should be attached to the Maintenance Manual in the car (along with key codes).

I just ordered my codes (997 C2S) from Stuttgart.com. Only about $18, and had them right away. The process is you enter your VIN in their "My Garage" section, click a link to request your codes, and a few minutes later you get a link back for payment. No trips to the dealer and it's accurate.
