I am looking at two Carrera's for sale. In one photo at idle, the oil pressure is about 1.5 maybe 2 at about 900 RPM. This car is a 2003, 996 coupe C-2. The other is a 2001 Carrera cab C-4. In the photo at idle, (aprox RPM is also 900) the oil pressue gauge is reading about 3.5. I have an interest in buying one of the cars. What should the oil pressure be at idle on these cars? Is the low oil pressure (What seems to be low to me) a sign of some engine problem on the C-2, 2003 car? Neither seller reports any engine oil leaks, or problems.

Thank you.

Porsche specs the cars this way:

The 3.4 liter cars spec out at 3.5 to 5.0 bar at 5000 RPM (90 degrees C).

The 3.6 liter cars (MY02 and newer) spec out at 3.5 to 6.5 bar at 5000 RPM (90 degrees C).

Idle is 700 RPM +- 40 RPM.

Mine when engine is cold in the morning, at idle rev about 2000, the pressure read about 3.5-4. Once it warms up at normal temp, idle speed is about 800, and the pressure read 1.2... Is this normal?
