Greetings. Okay, maybe its me, but the rear spoiler is not fully retracting, It goes up just fine, but when it closes it leave a gap to where the brake light is visable. It seems that the motor/hydraulic is not allowing it to fully close.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Both auto and using the switch? If so, then the problem is likely mechanical.

I do not mean to steal this topic, but how do I know the rear spoiler is working at all? I am not aware when it goes up or goes down for that matter. I have used the manual button and when it goes up I hear some squeaking. I asked the mechanic at the dealership and he said it will be about 1 1/2hr labor to lube it. He tried to lube it from the "outside" without the noise going away.

Thanks!

If you put it up manually while parked you can get out of the car and look at it.

You can install a hack so that an LED illuminates when it goes up or down.

While you are driving, you can just barely see the top of the spoiler out the rear view if you are tall enough.

Spend a little time with search, there are threads about how to lube the spoiler to help with the squeaking.

If the spoiler wont go up or down (fully) while driving, the system will, if all goes well, give a visual and/or acoustic signal on the dash.

Thanks for your feedback.

I am fairly tall (6'2) and still I really had to stretch my neck to see the top of the spoiler, but it seems to work... Cool!

Regarding the squeeking, the mechanic tried to lube it but said that he needs to take the mechanism apart to get to the interior. He guessed about 1 1/2 hr of labor. Worth it?

What winter tires do you recomend?

Much appreciating your advice.
