Gee Loren all I do is ask you for things........

I need the part number for a console switch. I think the new C4S has it.

It's the one u can use to switch the tail up or down. It has pictures of tail up/tail down.

I am going to do the mod when I get the switch. Why you ask.....

Well. The police here in the UK have cottoned on to the fact that Porsche cars have tail lifts that lift at 75 MPH. The speed limit here is 70. So if they see it up they got ya. However, apparently if you have the switch, all you got to say is you love posing with your tail up and I was only doing 50 ocifer....honest...see I just switched it :D

Cheer,

Berny

Hi Loren,

My dealer says he can't find that part number in his PET (he's running version 6). He also said he has never heard of this switch. Any ideas where to go from here?

Cheers,

Berny

The color code is missing. 996 613 155 00 A02. Might be able to pick it up at the Porsche dealer in San Jose. Doubt they will have it in stock, but they can get parts in 2 days if they are in the US. Jeff

No the dealer tried that while I was there. I watched him punch in the A02 on the end. Even tried A05 and a few others but he still could not find it. I had him check the US PET too. But still no luck. Ah well, I guess Jeff I will try your idea when I am over there next week.

I am only there for a week though. I am staying at the Sheraton in Menlo Park. How far is the dealer....Oh and what's the dealer called so I can look him up in the directory?

Cheers guys..

I called the parts guy I know at the San Jose dealer and that is a good part number. Not in stock, as I suspected, since it is not a common replacement part. They can get parts in 2 days if it is in the US.
