I have a new car and my beloved wife will start driving the Pepper Turbo while we are thinking about getting him sold. However I have one small problem.. after I have driven it for the last couple of months it seems it has become a lot more "aggressive" than it was last time she was driving it. At that time it was just back from service where they replaces the valve body on the gear box and did lots of resettings in connection with getting the "Entry and Drive" to work again. I am guessing this is related to some adaptive-ness in the ECU?

Is there some way to get the car more "neutral" again without going to Porsche center?

The Egas system on the Cayenne has a learning program and when you drive it for a while it figures out your driving style and adapts to it.

When the car has been hooked up to PIWIS and had the work done you describe, they most likely reset the egas learning program and it will appear more spirited for a while until it re adapts to your driving style.

I would give it a couple of weeks and see what happens.after she drives it for a while before spending any more money at the dealer.

I found in some other forum the following suggestion for eGas adaptation :

For eGas (2.24):

"To perform adaptation, switch on the ignition for 1 minute (do not start the engine and do not operate the accelerator pedal), then switch off the ignition for at least 10 minutes. The throttle valve stop (close) is re-adapted".

Anyone tried this? I performed the steps, but nothing seems to have happened...

Thanks, I will force her to live with it for a while, and we will see how it develops.. :)

Today she was already out test driving a Range Rover and a Merc ML430... so its possible she will give up before it has had the time to adapt to her

That never worked after early production, a DME software change was responsible for the change
