Hi,

I installed an ABT2010 ipod/bt unit in my 997 equiped with pcm2 no CD changer fitted. The connection seem ok,light goea through the cable, power is on, blutooth is connected andt paireed perfect with my iphone4 but although i got my dealer set the cd changer and phone option on the MOST with its PIWI, the pcm still does not recognise the mobridge and the Piwi does not find the mobridge on the optical loop,,,,,

I tried firmware update with sd card then with blutooth with my pc (disconnect my pc all the time), unplug mobridge, switch on/off with the bypass 5 times ...

Nothing works. The pcm still says "no cd changer", "no phone system"

Has anyone been through this troubles?

I guess this comes from the pcm config maybe someone can give me the right config to set and i shall tell my dealer whom is not very aware of this technology.

Thanks for any help.

Yes i checked that too, the light comes in the right wire (looking from the connection side) which is correct to the arrow and the piwi said the optical loop had no errors.

Mobridge dealer in NZ guess the pcm cannot set on cd changer and phone as the mobridge unit is there plugged and it cannot identify it. They recommend that i remove the unit and go back to the dealer to re-set the cd changer option on and then plug back the mobridge.

The cd changer setting is not an on/off option on the piwi. It is a matter of allocating a position on the loop for a cd changer device. We selected position 3 as 1 is the pcm and 2 is what is called the " passerelle optic" ( in french) thus the option is there now done and eventhough i unplunged the mobridge and plugged it back nothing solved.

This become a trick and i have no clue what to do. I will do what mobridge dealer says in case and pray for it to work unless someone has the solution.

Cheers

I eventually solved the problem after hours of thinking why mine was not as easy to set as all other say.

I removed it all this morning and checked step by step, power, light plugs…. I noticed that my original car optical fiber was not looped thus leading to the light out of the mobridge going I do not know where but for sure not back in the pcm…

I then plugged the mobridge 2 optical light direct to the pcm and it works perfect so far.

Appart from the fact that bluetooth connection needs to be manually done everytime I go in the car, but this seem to be a problem encountered by all Iphone4 users, the Mobridge is fine.

The menu is a bit treacky to get used to with the Ipod but so far so good.

So mobridge could mentionin their installation manual to not recommend making a loop in the car which are not equipped with amplifier or other firmdevice
