Headlight adjustment Fault error message

HI,

As per subject heading I'm getting a Headlight adjust Fault message up in my tach., The lights dont move up or down on start up and are pointing at tree line whilst driving. Dont know if its related but only happended since Ive had the front bumper replaced with a Turbo one. The car is a 2006 C4S.

You are likely going to need a PIWIS tester to diagnose further. Perhaps try reprogramming the front end control box.

A PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System) tester is a Porsche specific diagnostic tool used for diagnosis, coding, and other tests.

A few independent shops have them but all dealers are required to have them. They cost about $18,000 per year to lease one.

So any shop with a test can run the appropriate diagnostics and re-program the front end control box if needed.

Many of the early cars required re-programming at sometime so if you are fortunate that is all that will be needed.

Since you said the problem started after front bumper replacement, why not try to reinsert both headlight assembly? It may just be a bad contact, hopefully.

I agree with Sand8, try and reinstall the head light assemblies first and be sure all connections are sound.

just had my 997 in for an oil change and asked the tech to take a look at my headlights. was getting flashed by every passing motorist, with them thinking my hi- beams were on; until i flashed them back. turns out the rear level sensor bracket was broken. was not covered under my extended warranty but the part was only $14.00. It was $81.50 in labor lol.

according to my invoice, it was part number 996-341-371-03 (sensor link support).
