Hey Everyone,

2006 997 Cab

Im looking for some diagnostic info on p1043 - Exhaust flap control final stage.. Complaints of a occasional stumble on accell are also noted.

P1043 Electric air cleaner flap

Possible fault causes

- Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the control line

- Open circuit of power supply to air cleaner flap solenoid valve

- Air cleaner flap solenoid valve faulty

- DME control module faulty

This isn't the resonance flap in the center is it?

Otherwise I am not familiar with this electric flap fault. I can't pull any info on it

If I recall Correctly remember some newer models having a vacuum line to the air box. But I know this vehicle doesn't. Unless it's been eliminated.

Time for a POSIS update me thinks.
