Hi working4it

What prompted you to change the differential fluid? Were you experiencing any issues? I have a humming vibration coming from my front right wheel area that I'm suspecting is differential related. Thanks.

If it's from the wheel area it might be a wheel bearing that failing or tire noise. Best to have an experienced garage listen to it as these noises are similar and can often be mis-diagnosed.

Hmmm....a humming sound..I think wvicary may be right about a wheel balancing issue. I have 100k on mine and started to hear a low growling noise which is indicative of a wearing transfer case so I decided to change everything. Front diff was a dark brown and new is a golden color. Less noise and I could swear I am getting better gas milage.
