Loud Noise from Front

In a short couple of mile drive at slow speed I got this motorized sound (sounds like some type of motor that can't kick the sound or isn't fulfilling its duty? Have no idea)... This only happened once before and I turned the A/C totally off and it coincidentally went away.

It just happened again for a longer period of time, a couple of minutes and A/C off did nothing. It sounds like its right in front of me, either in the dash area, or inside the engine bay an dlooking at it from outside it would be top right.

I really don't know how else to describe it and I'm unsure of what it could be. Honestly, best explanation I have is a small motorized sound, pretty consistent.

There are several electric motors that drive the blend doors for the climate control. I would suspect this is the noise you are hearing. If everything is operating correctly I would'nt worry about it but if not you need the porsche scan tool or durametric to look at fault codes.

The noise has not happened since I posted the above which makes me happy. Based on my experiences with turning A/C off I would like to think it is climate control motor related, but really have no idea.

Re: air suspension compressor, my Cayenne does not have the suspension which rises/lowers... could this still be a possibility? That sounds much scarier long term than the above problem.

If your vehicle does not have the air suspension option why would you think it might be a possible problem?

I assumed it wouldn't be a possible problem. But that was in response to 'a17322a''s post. in Range Rovers of certain years not having the full out air suspension, some pieces were still similar, so I thought maybe that may be the case?

Regardless, i think your original idea of it being small hamsters in the blend doors is reasonable

If you don't have the air suspension... disregard. Glad you figured out your problem.

Could be the vacuum pump for the brake booster if your turbo charged.
