Hello everyone. I have had several Porsches and they have all run very smooth but this one seems to have a big rough spot. In the manual it says that the car will run rough around 3000 rpm's. Mine runs rough at any rpm below 4500 rpm's. I have spoke to the deal several times but they can find anything wrong with it. Basically no CEL so no problem. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and is this just normal for this engine. The general description of the problem is as follows. When the car is warmed up and driving normally around town is when I feel the problem. It seems to be worst when driving at low speeds with 1/4 throttle. When accelerating away from a light it will buck like it's missing around 3000 rpm's and then again around 3500 rpm's. Then when I try to hold a steady speed in the lower rpm's it feels like it is missing or loading up on fuel. If I run it hard and stay above 5000 rpm's every thing seems to be fine. The other thing that makes me think there is a problem is the fact that it really doesn't feel much faster than my 2006 Carrera S. I might just be me but I would think there would be a big difference. If anyone can give me some feedback that would be great. Also if there is a problem where should I go above the dealers head. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply D. I wish I had another dealership close by. The next closest is about 7 hours away. I think I am going to ask them to bring someone in that knows more about the GT3's. Mine is the only one in town and I have no one and nothing to compare it too. The dealer isn't giving me a hard time but they can't find the problem.

There must be something wrong. Your Carrera S does 0 - 124mph in about 17 seconds. The GT3 does this in little over 12! If you can't feel the difference something is not right I think. I have the same car and have none of the problems you describe.

Something interesting to do is get your car to a good dyno and measure it. The torque curve can tell a lot about the health of your engine.

Thanks for the input ir fuel. I have opened a case file with Porche customer service and they are going to see what they can do. I have plan to get it to a dyno but I have had a chance yet. My problem is the car is not giving any codes to say there is a problem and with out that they are not taking me seriously. Hopefully they will send a tech rep that knows about GT3's and he can confirm that the car is not running right.

Thanks Joe. the mechanical parts of the engine seem to be fine. No strange noises and at high speeds it seems to run better but I will keep what you said in mind.

I will search the part number its been a while since that was. With the time it went went rougher and rougher
