I recently had the p0446 show up on my 99 box. I erased it and it came back within several days.

Symptoms-The car will crank up perfect on a cold start. If you drive somewhere and let the car sit for more than 30 minutes it's hard to start. Usually takes about 8 seconds

to start and then you have to give it gas for several seconds before the idle is consistent.

Took it to the dealer today and the repair was (Shut off valve vent tank vent line replacement).

They wanted $600 :o for labor. The parts weren't so bad at $150. This included the tank vent

line, electrical connector and the housing. I ordered the parts and declined the repair. Has anyone had this issue, and if so was this the

correct fix? Also if you have done this repair does anyone have a diy? Thanks for any insight. I really do appreciate it!

Good for you; doing it yourself. If you have a manual(Bentley), it should cover it. If you don't and if you can figure things out you might find a good exploded view here that you can work from.
