Hello All,

Please excuse if this is posted in the wrong forum.

My wife and I have a wonderful 2001 996 Cab. The driver's seat is equipped with power adjust and memory, and it's stopped working correctly. Would someone be able to forward the wiring diagram/schematic for the system? Time to start troubleshooting.

An example of the symptoms,

1. Push seat forward button.

2. Hear "click" 1 instantly.

3. No seat movement (does not even appear to try.)

4. Hear "click" 2 about 2-seconds later.

5. Nothing more.

6. This process can be repeated.

7. Hitting one of the memory buttons has similar effect for each direction it tries to move.

Every now and then, all works- even the memory. Even the lumbar support works. However, fooling around with the switches much will lead to all stopping. Battery power is 13V with engine off and car has very low miles/use. Tracks are clear of debris and the seats have not been subject to humidity- climate controlled garage.

I assume the actual motors are under relay control and either the 12V to the relays is low, the relay contacts are shot, or there is a motor/mech issue that's causing excessive draw or stall. However, don't know until I see the schematic.

Thanks in advance!

Jim C.
