Noticed the 2001- overflow bottle is significantly cheaper than the 99-2000 one.

Is it interchangable or do I have to get the older one for a '99?

Thanks

I haven't read about anyone that's tried it.

The two parts are still available and one each specifically for those model years, so I am guessing there is a fitment issue (or perhaps redesign of cooling system) otherwise they probably would have just superseded the old part with the new for those model years.

But for $100 less, it might be worth a shot and then return it if it doesn't work?

If Porsche could sell only one part for both they would. The later model is too large to fit in the older cars

Also, make sure you have the latest cap - the old ones leak.

Thanks my friends ...

It actually looks like it has the newer cap and newer bottle already. Apparently the newer designed ones still don't last.

The shop topped it off with G012A8G1G Audi/VW coolant. is that ok? I had the original yellow/green in there. They claimed they called the dealer and said it was ok ...
