Hello All,

I'm looking for the part number to be able to order what looks like a splash guard in my friend's 05 Boxster S. This part sits in the front bottom part of the rear fender / wheel well and wraps around it, following it under to the underbody of the car. It seems to be attached with 3 or 4 screws at the most.

Here is a picture for reference:

I called the dealership and they gave me the following part number: 987-504-405-00 along with a $199.00 quote. This seemed a bit odd, considering what is being discussed in this thread which speaks about a $35 part which should be about the same exact one if iI'm not mistaken ->

Can someone help me clarify this?

Thanks,

Andres G

:welcome:

987-504-405-00 is a heat shield - wrong part I think.

I think you want 987.504.794.000.1C Right rear cover (satin black) -- US MSRp $28.82

Hello Loren, thanks for your quick reply. Would another picture be more useful to get a better description of the part?

Let me know and I'll make sure I post as many as necessary. Unfortunately, the closest dealership is 2 hrs away in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Thanks,

Andres G

If you want the part in the picture I have given that to you - but for the right rear. If you need the left rear (like the picture) then it is a different part number.

Hello Loren,

Thanks again. Yes, I do need the left hand side part number please.

Also, should I be ordering this from a dealer or is there a website where I can get this online?

Regards,

Andres G

I ordered this from Suncoast and was able to install on my 2007 "S" without too much effort. There is a tricky "clip" but otherwise it was a pretty straightforward process. Good Luck.
