Long time fan, first time poster....

I have an 89 964, totally stock and she won't start. She turns over and sometimes it will run a for about a second, then she dies again and won't start for about 5-7 minutes. Recently, it's gotten worse and I haven't been able to start her for two days. I do hear the fuel pump and if I wait, I still get a sputter. From what I read, there may be a few possibilities:

1. DME Relay

2. Fuel Pump

3. Worn Rotor Contacts

Anyone have a similar experience? I also understand that the DME part number has changed, but I'm not sure where it goes - in the fuse box under the front compartment or under the driver's seat??? Thanks in advance...

Thanks Berny,

Put a new DME relay in today and she started right up. Better than ever.
