I had my serpentine belt replaced yesterday on my 1999 C4. Everything with the belt replacement went well. However ..... my car is not running like it did when I drove the car into the shop.

#1. My horn was blowing after I touched the steering wheel (cover over the air bag). I had to pull on it towards me to stop it. Now, whenever I lightly touch it, it blows and at times continues to blow until I pull it towards me.

#2. The steering wheel does not seem straight. Seems to be turned slightly to the right.

#3. At high speeds (70+MPH), the car seems to be pulling slightly to the right.

I am going to call the mechanic, but wanted to get you input. Any thoughts about what is going on and/or suggestions to fix the problem. I always find the knowledge base and experience of the forum members to be invaluable.

Thanks

Eric

The car as not hit anything as far as I know. I left the car at the mechanics for 5 hours, so I have no idea if anything happened when I was not there. I guess anything is possible. I know these people and would be surprised if anyone took the car out for a joy ride, but anything is possible.

Eric,

As far as your horn problem goes, it's a fairly common isssue with 986's and 996's. Here's a link that might be of some help:
