Mama Mia, this was a project! It almost beat the band. If it hadn't been for your excellent post, I think I would be out about $1,200 plus the $550 for the pipe kit. Your warnings about the screws and connectors proved to be very valuable. I avoided the pitfalls you described, only to be bitten by the rear rigid hose on the intake manifold. Somehow I messed up the connector and had to purchase a new venturi line. Couldn't just buy a connector, got to get the entire line, $80 and thank you very much form the Porsche store.

I am still in the middle of this project. All pipes have been removed and everything is cleaned up. I am now waiting for the parts to arrive from Suncoast and will begin the installation. Maybe they won't come until Friday and I can have a day off. It's getting a bit warm in Dallas.

One question. Why did you fill the system with 50/50 instead of the coolant spec'd in the upgrade kit.

Thanks again for your post and the time it took to create it.

I followed the instructions to this tutorial. It took me a total of about 6 hours...I didn't use all of the tools suggested and I do have one main suggestion...After I cut out / broke out the existing plastic coolant pipes I didn't use any chisel or screwdriver to get the pressure rings out. Instead I used a 12" pry bar to wedge them out...Using the pry bar it took me less than a minute to get each pressure ring out. good luck.
