I instaled a AVIC920BT using the harness kit several months ago. One issue that I had post installation was that the video bypass didnt work. Yesterday I removed the radio to fix the bypass. Everything looked successful, however last night I noticed that some odd switches no longer worked. Power Windows, Power Lock, Rear Defrost. I have checked row D in the fuse box and all looks good. I dont even see how these things can be related at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry forgot to mention:

2002 Boxster S

Factory Bose Speakers and Amp

I took the center console and dash completely apart tonight to inspect for any damage and I dont see any crimped or damaged wires. I did find one 4 wire harness at the bottom center of the dash not plugged in but I cant find anything it would plug into. I also cant find what that plug is used for in the Bently maintenance manual.

Thanks again for any help...

The plug you found at "the bottom center of the dash" is most likely the plug for the optional telephone installation. It can be a source of switched and un-switched electrical power. If you search here on RennTech you will find more information.

Have you had any other strange electrical issues prior to installation. ALmost sounds like a faulty ignition switch.

No strange electrical issues whatsover. The car starts and runs perfectly. The only thing that I have found so far is on a 1997 - 1999 Boxster shares a high amperage fuse (F3) that controls the Audio Option Pack, Power Windows, and Rear Window Defrost. These are the 3 things that I am having issues with but my car is a 2002.

Help please..

I don't want to have to take it to the 'Stealership'
