Looked thru the forums and did not see any instructions on changing the engine oil & filter on a Gen 2 4.8, did I miss them?

The oil filter is off the bottom left of the oil pan - but basically it is the same type filter canister with o-ring.

The Oil pan has only one drain plug.

Perhaps you can take some pictures and write it up for others?

I've done a number of writeups on various motorcycle/truck forums, so I'll do one when I do the oil change.

Just wanted to make sure there was nothing 'special' about doing a oil & filter change on this, since i cannot find a service manual for my 2010 GTS ...or any Gen 2 for that matter.

Do you know if the oil pan drain plug takes a allen, torx or XZN bit? How about the oil filter canister housing, I heard it takes a 74mm/14 flute oil filter wrench?

Oil filter cover should have a bolt-head on the top - but I can not remember the size.

As I recall the oil plug is a metric 8 mm allen fitting same as the 911 series (even same part number)
