Any 2011 Hybrid Owners out there?

Just purchased a 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid and was wondering if there are any kindred souls out there. As far as the drivetrain goes, the 2011 VW Touareg has the identical setup: 330 HP supercharged Audi V6 followed by 47 HP electric motor/generator and a 288 volt NiMH battery in the back.

Just picked up 2012 Cayenne Hybrid. Love it. Very unique car. The best dealers are only getting 1-2 per month. Really hard to get good price. Was able to get over 3K off at my trusted dealer / this was my 3rd Cayenne with them.

The boost feature was directly derived from the 918 and 911 Hybrid research. Step on it all the way - with a full battery charge- and the Cayenne moves like a rocket. Daang its fast.

I believe 2012 is the first year to get the flappy paddle steering wheel. It allows for 3 gear changes down in less than a second. Also way cool.

I may be in the minority, but I am not a fan of the hybrid (purchased ~13 months ago). The power delivery stinks (I hate having to floor it to get porsche-like acceleration) and the transmission is way too clunky (perhaps i am spoiled by the PDK in my other car). My achieved gas mileage is in the low 20s (I have a 20-minute back-road commute to the office), which is not a lot better than the CS would get. The engine has no soul and no porsche character. The V8 in my old 2008 CS was sweet. I will never buy a p-car with a non p-car engine again.

Are you sure there isn't an engine or tranny issue with your car? If you still have the CS hybrid you might consider getting it looked at. Professional reviews have claimed 27 mpg or higher in stop and go traffic, and others have gotten higher with modest hypermiling techniques. I've driven the hybrid and it's acceleration was smooth and CVT like, just a bit grabby on the regenerative braking was the only downside. FWIW I drove more than one and some were smoother than others on acceleration, I thought a software update had bee released to alleviate this.
