Anyone have a slight delay/jerkiness when the engine starts back up using the start stop fucntion?? I have been told by dealer that this is normal and some 2011 Cayenne's and Panamera's have more or less jerkiness before the engines fires back up after letting up on the brakes. Feedback from 2011 Cayenne owners needed.

No issue detected on a 2011 Cayenne S. Lift the break and smoothly press the accelerator. I don't think I would try to drag race someone with the engine off...

I have not experienced that with the 2011 Hybrid. However, from a stop it usually starts with electric power, then the gas jumps in if needed. The transition is very smooth. The only time I have noticed the gas engine kicking in is occasionally when cruising on the hiway. Going downhill the gas cuts off, and you "sail" along until power is again needed. Sometimes when the gas restarts you can feel a slight tug, but most of the time you would never notice unless looking at the tachometer.

Yes, I have exactly the same experience as you described. The magnitude of the delay/jerk is also not consistent. Sometimes the jerk is very strong so that the entire car shakes, other times it's smoother. But I'll say overall there is a noticeable delay/jerk effect with start/stop on. Anyone thinks this is unusual please speak up?
