Red Caliper on Boxster S 2001 Year

My calipers are in need of some re-touching to the red coating which has begun to flake off leaving a matt red coating. I've seen recommendations for Testors Model Paint Red #1103 as a touch up possibilty. I am not sure however if this will stand up to the heat generated during braking, and living in Germany those 160 mph speeds are irresistable! :drive: Any thoughts? It really spoils the look of the car, but new calipers are really not an option.

For small touchups I use the Red Testors model paint, and have not had any problems at all.

Not sure if you are still under warranty - but my 01 S is still under the "extended warranty" and the dealership replaced all of the calipers @ $0 cost.

They did have to call the rep, but the rep said as long as there are no signs of owner inflicted damage - they would replace.
