Will a 987 egas pedal work on a 986 with 7.8 DME?

I'm tired of standing on my head to access the egas pedal sensor on my 986, does anyone know if the later 1 piece gas pedal can be adapted?

Paul,

It will functionally work but you need the proper connector to interface with it. Also the profile of the pedal assembly itself is different, so when installed there will be a large gap in front of the pedal between it and the carpet.

I've had 2 fail in the last 2+ years. Currently it is intermittently causing the limp home mode to be activated. (60% throttle and no throttle when on the brakes which takes the fun out of blipping the throttle while downshifting)

I hope to get one from a salvage yard with the connector and a few inches of wiring and splice it in. Does it attach to the floor board in the same way as the 986 pedal or does one have to make a new mount?
