I have a 1998 2.5l boxster with 100k miles. since I haved owed the car the reverse light have never worked. Today I replaced the water pump and thermostat and noticed the reverse light switch was unplugged. Therfore I plugged it in and the reverse light worked.

Question

On the test drive to ensure the water pump was working, it felt like the Abs was kicking in when I braked at low speeds. no lights came on on the dashboard to indicate the Abs working. Please help?

There is no light that comes on as the ABS works. It's more like a feeling of pulsing that you can feel in the brake pedal. A light only comes on if you have an ABS fault. You might also feel a wheel grab as it comes on.

I never touched the tires or brakes this weekend.

Monday morning - the ABS never kicked on this morning but unfortunately the convertible top will not raise up and it is locked in the lowered position. How do you manually over ride the top and lift it up?

Not that I've ever done it, but did you install the red clip? It keeps the top from operating. The car has to be stopped with the emergency brake on before the switch will operate the top.

I read a report about removing the relay and smacking its on your hand like a packet of cigerettes. On replacing the relay the convertible top started working
