Well I couldn't live without the phone button on the PCM 2.1 in my '05 Cayenne TT. I bought a PCM2.1 from a '08 Cayenne build date 17/09 part number 7L5.035.192C. I had a Bose, CD changer, off road, and compass already so I wasn't sure what was going to work. I purschased my unit off Ebaymotors from Euro-customs. The only thing their ads said was that you needed a PCM meant for Bose if your car had Bose. It came Fedex today and I installed it right away. It worked right off the bat. I had just updated my old unit from Level A to Level B with the latest 2009/10 Nav discs & software and the software was updated to PCM 3.1, the new unit has software 4.1, I couldn't find a way to update my old software to this level, it wasn't on the new Nav/software set. As I mentioned most everything seems to work, compass works, Ipod works(have dealer installed kit), Off road is still there. The only one I'm not sure about is the CD changer yet. Overall I'm pleased as I want to install the Mobridge and have a OEM type of Bluetooth, and now I can sell my good old PCM for probably almost as much as I paid for this unit.post-66823-0-94019000-1301618081_thumb.j

I did the exact same thing on my 2005 CTT about 1.5 years ago ... including the mobridge sirius, bluetooth, and rear back up camera. rear back up camera works very well. I wanted the phone button, which my old pcm 2.1 did not have. All has worked great .. and complete switch out plug and play. I also got the in dash compass display which I did not have with old pcm 2.1 unit. I sold my old PCM 2.1 for 63 dollars less that I bought my new one for on ebay. So $63 dollars for the compass display on dash and phone buttons. Worth it in my opinion.

I did notice that my backup camera isn't recognized by the newer PCM so I guess that means I have to get to a dealer to have him code it for the backup camera? Anyone know for sure?

FYI--I am selling a brand new Mobridge bluetooth unit for a PCM 2.1 setup. I bought it but then was given a tooki for free and can't return this. Contact me and I'll give you all of the details (it's listed on rennlist as well) gregwells67@comcast.net

I put a Mobridge unit in just over month ago. I did see your posts here and on Rennlist. Wish I would have seen them earlier. I do know of someone that was looking for the Mobridge, I think he also wanted the Mobridge Sat but I'll drop him a line anyways. What are you looking to get for it.

I just bought an 08 Cayenne S with Nav, Bose, CDC prep. I assume this is PCM2.1? And I assume this Mobridge would work just fine.

Does it have ipod & aux input as well as bluetooth?

If so, I am interested!

I did just the Mobridge Bluetooth as I already had the dealer installed Ipod input, though it doesn't have an aux input for MP3's or anything. The Bluetooth works great, install is fairly easy too. The Mobridge w/Ipod/Aux adapter costs a little more but I'm sure it is great.
