Hi My 2004 cayenne turbo that was tuned Is coming up with a code when we use our scan tool, saying overboost on turbo, supercharger (code P234)was wondering if the low budget tuner that did the work did it right as sometimes It gets a good amount of boost and sometimes it seems flat. spark plugs and coils were just changed and no lights are on Anyone know If disc0nnecting the battery would help by resetting the computer ? Thanks

P0234 Boost Pressure Control Limit Exceeded - Above Limit

Possible fault cause

- Leak ahead of throttle (less than 4 mm)

- Boost pressure control solenoid mechanically faulty

- Bypass valve (waste gate) faulty

Don't know your ECU/turbo is managed but your tuning map is flashed into a rom.. The information is either there or it's not. Theirs nothing in between. I don't think disconnecting the battery will do anything... but won't cant hurt.

Good Luck,

PK

Thanks for Input, It was running rough and kinda "bucking" when i accelerated hard on it so we changed the plugs and coils and that has stopped the so-called "bucking" Thought maybe a battery diconnect could help, anyone know If ther is an easier way of cutting the battery power other than removing the front seat? Thanks

Just in front of the driver seat (LHD car) right side under the carpet, there is the battery ground cable. You can disconnect the battery at that point. I cant help you concerning problems due by " Tuning " sorry.

Why disconnect the battery? Your scan tool should be able to clear the fault code and the ECU will then be reset.
