My 77 911S Targa 3.2L keeps stalling until it's warmed up for a few minutes. Could this be the cold start valve? If so where is this valve located?

Could be many faults causing this issue. The cold start injector is only operational for a very short time so I would first start with verifing the fuel pressure and then test the intake system for vacuum leaks. If you're not familiar with CIS system I highly recommend finding a garage that has experience with your vehicle as it will save you endless hours of agro.

I did a little reading up on the CIS system and it does sound like this could be something hard to pin point. One thing I should add is if I start the car and give it a little gas to bring the idle up it will keep running. If I do that for a couple of minutes it will idle on it's own. With that said if it is cold outside and I try to drive it too soon it will stall the first time I bring the car to a stop. After that it runs fine. Also runs fine when the weather is warm.

CIS is very sensitive to vacuum leak so start by having the intake system smoke tested, repair any leaks, clean the air flow meter, throttle body and cold air by-pass valve then retest the system. A word of warning, a lean backfire can destroy the air box if you don't have a pop off valve installed.

You need to perform a pressure check on the system.Look closely at the control pressure cold. I think the graph is posted on this forum,if not let me know. You should also check for unmetered air leaks.
