I have a check engine light on and checked the p-codes at autozone. P 1126 and p1133 came up... my car has been running like this for over a year (I know-- I should've checked into it earlier), but I'm finally getting down the the solution...hopefully. Does anyone having experience with the aforementioned problems... I would love some input :) Thx

Thx Loren and kbrandsma,

I've been checking into via websearches...

My plan of attack is

1. change air filter---I've had the car for 1.5 years and put 22,000 miles on it, not sure when last replaced

2. check for vacuum leaks

3. clean MAF with MAF cleaner

then..... cross my fingers and give it another try :)

anything else I could-should or might do while I'm doing this?

I have the 1126 code too. I'm pretty sure I found a vacuum leak on the oil fill tube where it disappears under the intake manifold. My suggestion is to believe the computer and look for an intake leak first. Maybe take it to a shop that's equipped with a smoke generator system to pressuize the intake system slightly and locate leaks if you don't see anything yourself. Sometimes you can hear the hissing sound of a leak.

Please post up anything new as your repair proceeds. Maybe you'll learn something that can help me.

I cleaned the MAF, throttle body, and replaced the air filter. the car runs a LOT better now...it is much more responsive :) My CEL came on again today after 52 miles... haven't pulled the codes yet... :(
