Hi all -

I went to change my license plate lights (upgrade to LED units) because one of them had "burnt out". Popping these things out is nearly impossible but that's another story entirely... (undo screw half way and yank on it)

The right hand side unit upgraded just fine, but the left hand unit (the one that had 'burnt out') was not even attached to a harness! For some reason it was completely gone. I felt around but couldn't find anything.

Any insight as to where the harness has gone, and any tricks to recover it without taking off the bumper?

Thanks!

chiffonade.

Oops, sorry :)

I have an 07 GT3 that I bought last year as CPO - my first Porsche. I actually found a link to a DIY on renntech.org from 6speedonline. Looks like a great site.

Only the right hand side harness is showing up where it should - from the looks of it, it's a "Y" split... I can only stick my fingers in the left-side hole so far, but I can't find anything. Maybe I can fish around with a coat hanger or something... are there any notes in the manual that say if the split at '2' is higher or lower than the light assembly itself?

I fear I'm going to have to take the bumper off :(

This is what the factory harness should be. Is this what you have?
