Hello Loren,

My understanding is that the Porsche 993 RS rear disc / caliper backing plate ( protection plate as noted in PET ) is different from the normal NB or TT version. Would you happen to have the part number for both rear backing plates?

(I apologize for Subject Line typo P / B Backing Plate :) )

Regards, Bill

I think you mean the protective (sometime called splash slate).

According to PET they have all been the same since 1995.

993.352.801.02 Protective plate (rear) -- US MSRP $36.26 each

Hello Loren,

This is similar to the part I'm looking for, however I've read that the RS version has a slightly different design to allow for more brake cooling. I'm trying to verify whether this is the case. I have the part numbers you have listed

Thanks, Bill

There are no separate part numbers for the RS in PET. This could mean that the part is considered a racing part and is a Porsche MotorSport part (Porsche MotorSport = usually 5x price).
