low dust brake pads

Can anyone recommend a low dust and/or ceramic pad for an '02 996? I've used akebono with good effect on a different car, but akebono doesn't have pads for the 996.

I run Hawk pc pads, work great, low dust and don't chew up the rotors, I was running EBC's but they chewed my rotors up too quickly.

I use EBC Red Stuff ceramic pads on my 996 and have had good results. There is still some dust, but not at all like the OEM pads. I highly recommend them.

Your priorities are seriously MISPLACED. Buy the best pads for BRAKING and spend the extra time cleaning the wheels.

How do the Hawk PC and EBC Red Stuff compare to the OEM pads regarding performance (cold, hot, street. track, etc.)? I've been very happy with the OEM pads, but would also like to have less dust.

My experience with the Hawk's and EBC compared to stock is that their performance is, overall, better than stock pads, however, when they are cold they do require more pedal pressure than stock. When they are hot, and I'm talking track here, they work great!

For mostly everyday driving and the occasional track day, I would go with the Hawks, they aren't quite as "cranky" in the cold as I found the EBC's to be, plus the rotor wear is much less.
