Hello does anyone have ever triyed to remove the Secondary Air Injection System pump? I live in a country with no emision regulations and this pump is lighting my engine light from time to time, so I want to get it out, do I have to do modifications??? or just disconnected... thanks

As far as I know the only way to not get the CEL after removing this would be to reprogram the DME.

Dera Mr Loren, thanks for your response, I got the PST2 System tester, do you know wich reprogrammation has to be made to the DME??? thanks

Thew PST2 can only load existing programs (to my knowledge). To make this kind of change you would need to re-program the chip - something that a few Porsche tuner shops can do.

IMHO you should not remove any of the anti-pollution equipment on your car, your country not having environmental laws notwthstanding - be a good citizen!

Loren is correct that you must disable the pump using the dme. You also will lose control over the changeover valve that controls the resonance valve in the intake. You will have to find some other way to properly control this valve if you want you engine to have the proper power curve. Without it, the performance will suck.
