I just purchased a 2005 911 Turbo S and the previous owner had scratched the Navigation Disk so now it doesnt work. The dealership gave me a disk with 997.642.257.02 as the part number, but I am not sure if that is the correct disk because the navigation system is not working correctly. Can you tell me if this is the correct disk for this car? If not, can you tell me the proper disk number?

Thank you in advance.

:welcome:

That is the North America Disk for 997 PCM systems with serial numbers to: F 997 S7 83403 -- but has been discontinued.

The parts list says to use the update 997.044.902.51 instead.

OK. Thanks for the information. That is very helpful!

I just want to confirm that 997.044.902.51 is the correct Part Number for a 996 Porsche. I am not sure if the first three numbers refers to the engine?

I did a part number lookup by "models used on" - so yes it is correct per the Porsche parts list.
