Can somebody advise?

I need to remove the plastic panel under the steering wheel, the one with the lights switch on it.

There are 3 screws on the lower side which i removed but it still wont come off.

2009 Carrera S 997.2, although I would think that part is exactly the same in all models..

Often folks post in the wrong forum or are asking about a different car - so that is why we ask...

Did you get the screw inside the light switch housing?

Switch should have a release or screw. I haven't looked that close at a 997.2 switch but the older versions had a release.

i.e. Pull forward the control button of the light switch as far as it will go towards the front. Press in the locking device at the lower side using a small screwdriver and remove the control button towards the front.

You will have to search for access to the other screws.

997/987 use no longer a locking pin, i believe that you have to push the button forwards, turn full to the left and than pull the button off at the same time, i cant check it for sure cause the car is not here for the moment.
