Decided to pull my wheels off and have a gander before ordering parts for my planned maintenance.. The passenger side looked completely fine to me, the driver side looked questionable. In the first pic whatever the black plastic piece is visible on top of the rightmost coilpack had Oil on / in it. The remaining pics are of the leftmost (closest to front of car) coilpack which seemed to have a lot of stainage in and around it but not sure if that's the source

Is this caused by a bad o-ring / plug tube or do I have another problem?? When I pulled the coilpack out and felt inside the tube it felt dry. I don't have any oil on the floor and the car has been parked in the same spot for about 2.5 months.

Thanks!

HI

Im from the uk so my car is the other way round but i believe that is where your air box is and at the bottom of the air box is a plastic bit that looks a little like that not sure what its for but it has a one way membrane that closes when the engine sucks so could be a drain

Have a look on ebay there is bound to be a picture of one out of a car or google it

All I can tell you is if your plug tubes were leaking there would be no question about where it's coming from. you will have oil seeps here and there, mostly from the aos tubes. you have nothing to worry about from these photos.

Those are not oil tube leaks.

You need to clean all the oil off then run the engine until warm and see if you still have leaks - and where they originate from.

Thanks again! I will not order the tubes / o-rings and just change the plugs. Loren, I'll follow your advice and clean it off as well as possible and see what it looks like once I've driven it around a bit in the Spring/Summer.
