You can try e-bay -- but there is not too many wood parts there. Its mostly silver & carbon pieces.

You can try these guys. I have no experience with them, but was considering having them do the carbon look after I found them on e-bay.

If interested, I have the rare dark wood maple accents in my car. I can get the Tequipment option number if you like. It included the Steering wheel, shift knob, and emergency brake. Looks great, but is not my cup of tea. All of the pieces are as new. Let me know if you are interested in them.

I used these guys for my center rear and front console and the door handles/cubbies.

They did a great job, but I did not like the way it looked with my graphite grey interior. The quality and service was excellent, but it does look a bit like plastic, unlike the real wood which is polished but somehow has a different appearance. I reverted to the aluminum look, and sold most parts on Ebay.

This is a bit OT, but I checked out a sample of the CF "stick-on" stuff, and while I elected not to use it, it was "3 dimensional" looking and had a quality, but soft feel to it. I've lost the name of the outfit, but I found it on ebay

Sort of on the same topic....I have a 2000 996 black/black. I just can't decide what looks best in this car....(sigh)

I'm looking for opinions as to carbon fiber (real only), artic silver, or aluminum.. ..

Brandywine Porsche has been selling some of the interior bits at 30% off... I bought a carbon center console there. They might be able to get the wood trim pieces. Does anyone know if the upper center console ( horseshoe) can be replaced with alluminium look for the 1999 model year? Any source for this parts. Regards.

I just purchased a fixer upper 1999 996 for a project. The interior has the factory wood trim. It looks great from a few feet away but up closr it becomes obvious that it is cracked everywhere. Even the defroster vent pieces that the prior owner had replaced at great expense a couple of years ago are already cracked.

There's no way of knowing if this is caused by extreme heat but since it is an Arizona car I would assume that is the problem. The car does not apprear to have been parked in the sun but even if left outside here the temps get up to 100+ on a daily basis in the summer.

Anyway, be warned if you are considering the oem "real" wood.
