PCM Replacement

Can I replace a PCM 2.0 with a PCM 2.1? I have a 2005 C2S with Nav, CD Changer, Bose Sound system, and CD player in the nav display head. This means the difference in SAT radio or no Sat radio. If any one knows, please advise.

MY 2005 (997) should have already PCM 2.1 IMHO.

That is what I thought, but I have a 2.0. I am seeking to install SAT radio, but kits need the SAT features of the 2.1 PCM.

Unless someone swapped out the original it should be PCM 2.1.

How are you checking it?

I had the dealer check the software, it is 2.1. I have been lead to believe that the dispaly head i need, to make my SAT radio project work, has a TEL button on the bottom and a SOS button on the top, and that the AM/FM function button is combined into one. My PCM has none of these features, it has and ORG button on the bottom and no button on top except the disk eject button. Regarding updates, I have done the NAV map update, andas I said the dealer computer review said I have 2.1 software.

I purchased the car from a dealer, and had NAV added before delivery, perhaps they swapped the PCM.

I am open to suggestions, before spending $ for the 2.1 PCM.

The car should have come with a full PCM 2.1 system if that is what you had paid to install. It almost sounds like they stuck in an older system they took out of another car. Part numbers would say for sure...
