What is the equivalent to the ATF fluid used for the 997.1 Tiptronic?

Can we use the same fluid as the 996 Mk2?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the 997.1 Trans is based on? ZF of some type, or MB of some type? This info could help identify the proper ATF fluid to be used.

I went to an independent to have the fluid change and they

said that they would have to buy a 50 gallon container

of fluid.

I had the dealer change the fluid.

Does anyone have any insight on the 997.1 ATF type?

ATF 3353 like the 996 Mk2 and 996 Turbo maybe?

In the parts catalog it has a different part number from those two.

I have not personally done this on a 997.1 yet so I am not sure other than it specifies a different part number from the early cars.

You might want tot got to a dealer and ask for some to see what brand etc. they bring out.

9 liters total in the 997-1 transmission but a drain and change will only replace 4.5 liters.

Latest Porsche part number: 000 043 305 42
