Hi,

I'm planning to pick up a used 2009 4S Friday afternoon. Anything I should look for or make sure I get? I asked them to make sure that the PCM is updated to the last firmware, but that's about where my imagination stopped. :-)

I'm assuming you have already purchased the car?

Make sure you have the tool kit and the tow hook. There should also be a small DC operated air compressor in the trunk. Make sure you get both keys and ALL the manuals.

If it's a CPO car make sure you get some documentation regarding that..

Get all service records.

I'm also assuming that you got a CarFax. Gotta have that..

Do a final inspection of the car to make sure that you have looked for any small dents, scratches, curb rash on wheels etc.. before you sign all th papers and drive it off the lot.

Good luck and congrats an an awesome car! :clapping:

Thanks Phillip. I made sure to go through your checklist (although some of them not until I got the car home in the afternoon). I went down and exchanged money for car that afternoon. The dealer (beverly hills porsche) were really good about making sure I got everything on your list actually (without me having to prod them at all) -- including documentation and stickers for the CPO stuff. Funny how buying it used got me more (more time and more miles) warranty than if I'd bought a new one.

So much fun; and surprisingly comfortable to drive. My only experience driving a 911 prior to getting the keys was driving it around the block last monday. I always suspected that going to try it would just be expensive, so I've been resisting. ;-) I got a seat for the toddler today, so when I get that installed I'll be able to use it a bit more, too (for living in Los Angeles I don't drive too much and many of the trips are with her).
