Hi,

I've noticed that my alarm siren is almost silent. It can barely be heard. I've posted in my other thread about possible water damage (PCM is possessed), but can anyone tell me where the siren is located so I can see whether there's a pot to adjust its volume and do a general condition check of the siren?

Cheers

Pete

Hope someone is still receiving follow-ups on this thread. I have the same model Cayenne with the same symptom; just started yesterday.

What were you able to determine, and what was the resolution, of the wimpy alarm siren?

I still have the original battery: was headed down the thought process of battery needing to be replaced. Maybe that's not yet the case.

Thanks!

Dave

If you are on the original battery then you are likely on borrowed time anyway. Any battery over 4 years old is suspect and should be replaced - especially if you are have strange electrical problems.

Thank you Loren. It's time to order some parts and spend a weekend on the Cayenne. Battery added to the list of rotors, pads, tailgate lifters. Need to pick up a set of triple square sockets.
