Cabin Air filter

Anyone know where the cabin air filter is on a 2009 997.2 C2S and how I can gain access to it?

Over the weekend, car alarm went off @ 3am- I of course panicked thinking someone is trying to steal my baby, but all I saw were blinking lights. Next morning after must restlessness, I checked the car thoroughly inside and out, opened up the battery compartment and saw some mice droppings (HORROR) - i figured a mouse may have triggered the alarm while scurrying around. Earlier in the week, the garage door had been accidentally left open overnight- I figured thats when the vermin got in. From past experience with other cars, I know field mice love paper filters, I have checked the air filters in the engine bay, all is safe there, just want to make sure they did not find their way into the ventilation system. Any help from members is greatly appreciated. Anyone had issues with field mice and additional places in the car where I should look? thanks- in advance.

Opened up the 997.2 C2S and sure enough a mouse had begun to store seeds & crap in the air filter. I cleaned it out put some peppermint oil drops in there and closed it up. While I'm at it, does anyone know where the cabin filter is on a 993- I'd like to also check my wife's ride (1996 Carrera 911). thank you. p.s. I hate field mice.

Check the wiring close to the filter - mice (for some reason) love to chew the insulation off the wires. I know of at least 3 cars that had insulation chewed off the fuel pump or fuel sending unit (under the battery).

993 pollen filters are located left and right inside the unit, well sealed (in the trunk, under the carpet near the firewall). Normally they are difficult to access for rodents, they prefer other places.

I removed the battery and checked the unit under- thankfully no damage. Mouse focused only on air filter. Upon reconnecting battery etc I get a "PSM failure" - is this something that will resolve itself after some time driving or do I have to take car to dealer or reset something. any help is appreciated. thank you.

While I was at it, I put in a new odyssey battery in a renline battery mount. Saved a few lbs and I think it looks nicer.
