OK, First post and I;m going to admit to doing something really stupid. 04 Boxster is parked inside for the year. Started it up to let it run, went and got coffee (in a detached garage and shut door), distracted by a a neighbor to go golf of all things. And I went. And guess what, it ran until it ran out of gas. I remembered 24 hours later. Got gas in it, charging battery but so far nothing! Had some lights, etc this morning but they went off before I started to charge. The curious thing, the rear spoiler is up. So, what should I do if the battery doesn't charge and I can't start it. Trailer to dealer is likely. More so, have I done any lasting damage? Thanks all.

Low battery can cause all kind of low voltage warning lights and a CEL.

I would disconnect the battery cable, and then charge the battery fully. After the battery is completely charged, then reconnect the cable, turn the key on and see what happens. If you have an OBD reader you can clear most of the fault codes, but may still have air bag warnings and such for low voltage.

I hope you are handy with tools, I can think of lots of things that may have went, or, you might get lucky.

Thanks guys. Battery wouldn't hold a charge. Dealer said to replace the battery and it "should" be OK. I will get to that over the holidays and let the forum know.
