Hi Forum members,

I have a problem. My Porsche Cayenne( ordinary Cayenne 2005) was left to the repair shop to fix the back/reverse sensors. When I got my car back the warningssignal that sounds when I have forgot to put on my saftybelt, when I have left the lights on, gear in drive when parked has stopped working, there is no sound either from the direction indicators.

Questions:

1) What is wrong?

2) Can it be fixed without ruining me?

3) Can this have been caused by the repair shop that totaly takes their hands of this problem. They claim that they have not caused this even if it worked before I left my car.

Pls give me some advice on what to do

Cheers

PS Excuse my english and that I dont know the right words for all the indicators etc..:)

:welcome:

If they used a PIWIS tp test and reset the Parkassist controller then they should not have re-programmed other parts of the car.

The car needs to be checked and re-programmed with a PIWIS tester unless there is some other fault(s).

Thx Loren,

The car was fixed at a Porsche authorized body repair shop and they did not have any of the ordinary Porsche measurement tools. I am booked up for a error search at Porsche Center on Friday, is this something you recommend me to do or is this just waste of money? My gut feeling, after having talked to another authorized Porsche repair shop is that this "fault" is a terribly expensive exorcise where this little loudspeaker is part of a bigger system and can not be replaced stand alone. You need to replace the whole system for some 3.000 USD, and that I want to avoid.

I believe your OPC can test the speaker that is located in the instrument cluster using the output functions on the PIWIS.
