Hi,

On my Porsche Cayenne 2006 with PCM 2.1, I've tried to update the system. I found a bulk with 2 CD's and a navi DVD.

So first I put the update CD1, but as it looked stalled, I made the mistake to eject it. I got a message that the update failed.

So I inserted the DVD. Would you like to update software ? Yes.

After e few minutes, update was done, maps were up to date. I thought this would be it.

In order to make sur, I inserted again the update CD1, but it was unreadable (wrong update cd, it says). And now impossible to eject it !

Next day, I noticed that PCM 2.1 wouldn't come up at all. no matter what buttons I press, there is no way I can make it work. No image, no sound, no CD eject. DVD eject works, though.

Did anyone have this kind of issue ? Is there a way that I can power off the PCM and power it on again, in order to see if it comes up ?

Please help me if you have some advice you're welcome :-)

Thanks.

From what I know if you interrupt the PCM during updates in any way there is a danger of bricking it from which there is no return, thats why the manual says to run the engine while updating or put the battery on charge. You have little option not but to get a PIWIS hooked up to it to see the error codes it throws.

In parallel, I would contact Becker US to see if they can service it for you
