I want to retain the factory radio and just plug my iphone to play music. I'm not good with electronics so I know some of you is running iphone for music. Is there a ipod interface to connect to the factory radio? Thanks guys!

There is an adapter from Becker that uses the aux input for an Ipod interface. However, you have to give up the CD player for this as the head unit only has one aux input.

Take a look here: http://www.beckeraut..._CDR%20220.html

Thanks, D, for the good info.

Loren's right, we'd need to know some specifics about the radio in question.

I've been under the impression that the Becker CDR23 does not have an aux input.....

and we've seen many threads with new head unit installs, moving around the heat a/c control locations, etc., to accomodate an ipod. I've been using a plug-in fm transmitter type adapter.

will this Becker adapter work in the 23 radio... ?

Cheers, j

I'm not sure of the model of the radio. But it's a 99' 996 C2. It's a single CD player. It's says CDR-210 I'm not sure if that's the model number.

I did the Becker Aux adapter - it plugs into the back of the radio where the CD Changer would go. It was relatively easy - about 30 mins. Threaded the Aux adapter out through one of my dummy buttons on the center dash. I went ahead and ordered the radio removal keys, which made the job a lot easier.

Daniel Antolino of Becker Autosound was kind enough to advise me that there is no aux option with a cable for the CDR-23, but.... an aux input could be hardwired into the CDR-23 radio by Becker for $175.00.

Info only....... just what I thought.
