Hi, I have a white 04 Cayenne turbo, I have a button on the door and read that if I walk up to the car with the key in hand, It should open doors if I press the button on the handle. But my car does not do that. Anyway I can troubleshoot to figure out what the issue is with it.

Another question off this subject, I was woundering what I can use to get the white stains out of the brushed metal sides by the door. Its starting to bother me. Thank you very much!

I don't think you can easily diagnose the entry and drive system without the Porsche tester. Best to refer to the dealer or an experienced indy with the proper tools.

Hey Panda,

would be interested if you get any answers to "what can I use to get the white stains out of the brushed metal sides by the door"...

It appears to afflict a lot of the older cars...

Perhaps a new thread may get people's attention...?

Regards, Neil.

I just bought an '04 CTT. The Keyless system totally confused me at first. You only have to touch the handle with the keys in your pocket and the lock should open. The button on the door handle is for LOCKING. Hold the handle and push the button when you want to lock it up. However, don't pull the handle and push the button or you will roll down all of the windows as my wife discovered on one of her first drives in a massive blizzard.

This works on my front doors only, its also supposed to work on the rear door correct? All of the 4 buttons on the door handles work to lock the door, and only the 2 front handles work to unlock the doors, but not the rears. Any ideas?

As "wvicary" already indicated, only a PIWIS diagnostic tool can help you out in a decent and quick way. Kessy system can cause problems for sure.

correct, i just want to know if the rears are supposed to act the same as the fronts? My guess would be yes.

Are you sure the Child Safety Locks are not set?

The front and rear doors act in the same way, the childproof rear door locks are mechanical and are independent from Kessy system.

Then something is wrong with both my rear door locks, i removed all my 4 door handles and then re-installed them, the front 2 doors still act the same way but the 2 rear doors do not unlock when you touch them. (Locking by pressing the button works on all 4). I guess i will have to find someone with a PIWIS to troubleshoot.

My 2003 Cayenne Turbo owners manual page 108 shows (Main Menu>Settings>Comfort>Door Opening>Doors).

You can program which doors unlock when opening from the outside.

My passenger rear door handle behaves this way. My theory is a fault in the Kessy antenna in that particular door. Does your dash indicate "Does not recognize key" when you open your rear doors once unlocked?

Many of you appear to be experts on the Entry and Drive system. Do you have any insight whether the system can be added to a 2009? Any advice or alternative solutions is greatly appreciated.
