Hi,

I know that you will think that I'm crazy but I don't care... I can't help it... I hate rust and it's my biggest fear.

When I removed the spare tire of my TT, I noticed that the screw that was maintaining it sratched the part of the body (is it the body ???) that you can see through the hole (the screw was tightened very strongly and it was touching the bottom).

Can it rust down there ? What kind of metal is it made of ?

Please excuse my horrible way of speaking and writing.

Cheers from Switzerland.

The frame of the Porsche are made of three parts of stamp steel , front compartment (your damaged part), mid floor pan and rear compartment. All made of steel and it can rust especially if the paint was scratch to bare metal. Just clean, prime and repaint this small surface.

Thank you for your answer. As It's clearly impossible to access the underlaying part of the front compartment the only thing I can do is let drop some paint in the spare tire mounting hole... :-(
