I refitted the hard top to my C2 Cab after a crappy English Summer and now on about 50% of the times I start the car, all 4 windows go down like the start of the soft roof lowering routine. They refuse to be raised using the switches and I have to lock and unlock the car before the switches will operate.

The only thing Ican think of is that I did put a bit of grease on the pins when I was refitting the roof, did I screw up some electrical contact? Anyone had similar problem.

Try pressing and holding on the window up or down button for 60 seconds. That resets the window regulators on my MB.

Try hardtop removal & cycle through softtop operations a couple of times to see if the window issue still happens and if not, reinstall hardtop again.

If your car is still in warranty, have the dealer check it out also. Your top controller may be faulty.
